Project Details
To encourage more people to use the hall, our community centre refurbishment project included full internal decoration and the installation of a new kitchen, including white goods. We replaced the old flooring throughout with a laminate flooring and renewed the carpets in office spaces.
Our team also created improved storage space in the rear garden, upgrading the existing storeroom by repairing and renewing the leaking roof. We replaced doors, redecorated and plastered internal surfaces and provided lighting and power alongside storage racks and shelving. In addition, we installed a new high tech security system with CCTV and alarms.

L&Q has signed contracts with ten partners – including Axis – worth up to £300m per year for the next stage of their Major Works Investment Programme. Beyond improving homes, Axis has partnered with L&Q on social value commitments to create a lasting impact in communities: creating employment opportunities, supporting community projects and charitable initiatives and improving, or bringing back into use, community assets like community centres and playgrounds on estates.
Axis completed two other L&Q Community projects, at Winsor Park and Starting Point.
