The works included window renewals, roof upgrades, drainage improvements, fire safety enhancements, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, and internal and external decorations across multiple Victorian residential blocks. Managing access and coordinating numerous workstreams while residents remained in their homes required careful sequencing to minimise disruption and maintain programme efficiency.

Resident Liaison Officers supported residents throughout the works, providing regular updates through letters, emails, telephone calls and door-to-door visits. This resident-focused approach helped ensure smooth delivery, while accessibility measures and tailored support enabled vulnerable residents to continue living safely and comfortably in their homes during the refurbishment programme.

Innovations, challenges, solutions
