Project details
Axis successfully delivered a comprehensive programme of reactive roof repair and maintenance works for MHS Homes Group, covering a diverse portfolio of occupied residential dwellings across Medway, North Kent and surrounding areas.
Properties included residential blocks (flats/maisonettes) including sheltered blocks and residential single-family dwellings (houses/bungalows).
Our contract involved both pitched and flat roof systems, incorporating full replacement, overlay works and targeted repairs to maintain structural integrity, prevent water ingress, and improve thermal efficiency.
The project scope included the safe removal and disposal of existing roof coverings, asbestos-containing materials (where present), and associated fixtures, with reinstatement works completed to current UK building compliance standards.
Our specialist teams undertook detailed surveys and feasibility studies prior to commencement, ensuring that each repair or replacement intervention met both the Building Regulations and MHS Homes’ sustainability objectives, particularly in relation to insulation performance and long-term durability.
Our team carried out all works while properties remained fully occupied, requiring meticulous site planning, tenant liaison, and safety measures to minimise disruption.
