Client: Bristol City Council
Framework Value: £17 million (Lot 1: £9 million)
Framework Duration: 1 November 2025 – 31 October 2028 (with option to extend to 31 October 2029)

CLC, part of the Axis CLC group, is pleased to announce it has secured a place on Bristol City Council’s Disabled Adaptations Framework 2025–2028. This framework is designed to support residents to live safely and independently in their homes through the delivery of high-quality adaptation works.

CLC has been awarded Lot 1 – Major Alterations and Renewal of Adaptations for projects valued above £1,501 per property. As part of the framework, CLC will deliver a wide range of essential adaptations aimed at improving accessibility, safety and overall quality of life for residents across Bristol.

Scope of Works

Under this framework, CLC will undertake a comprehensive programme of adaptation works, including:

  • Adapted bathing facilities, such as level access showers and over-bath showers
  • Wash and dry toileting solutions
  • Kitchen adaptations, including full and partial accessible kitchens
  • Internal reconfigurations and structural alterations
  • Door widening and installation of low-level threshold doors
  • Automated door entry and intercom systems
  • External works, including ramps, paths, patios and off-road parking
  • Permanent and modular ramping systems
  • Installation of handrails, grab rails, safety fencing and safety padding

These works will be tailored to meet the specific needs of residents, ensuring each property provides a safe, accessible and functional living environment.

Supporting Independent Living

CLC’s appointment to the framework reinforces its expertise in delivering complex adaptation projects that promote independent living. The programme will support older and disabled residents by improving accessibility within the home, enhancing safety, and maintaining dignity in day-to-day living.

By delivering high-quality, compliant adaptations efficiently, CLC will help Bristol City Council meet increasing demand and ensure timely support for residents in need. The framework will also enable long-term solutions that are customised to individual requirements, benefiting both occupied and vacant properties.

Delivering Quality and Care

This appointment highlights CLC’s continued commitment to delivering works that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. By combining technical expertise with a resident-focused approach, CLC will play a key role in enhancing homes and communities across Bristol.

The team will now begin mobilisation and planning activities to ensure a smooth delivery of works from November 2025, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and customer care throughout the framework duration.
