Axis secures Fire Safety Remedial Works contract with Lewisham Council
Via CHIC’s Fire & Building Safety Framework – Lot 2 – Servicing & Maintenance (Works Category required Workstream 1 – Fire Door Sets) Axis won a Fire Safety Remedial Works Contract with Lewisham Council.
This 12-month programme reflects a continued commitment to improving building safety, compliance and resident wellbeing across the borough’s housing portfolio.
The works will focus on addressing key risks identified through Fire Risk Assessments, delivering a comprehensive package of fire safety upgrades. This includes remedial works to fire door sets, compartmentation and fire stopping, alongside the installation of fire-rated systems, signage and high-rise building information. Targeted improvements to fire suppression systems and associated building fabric will further strengthen protection measures.
This programme is designed to enhance safety standards in both communal and residential areas, ensuring properties meet current regulatory requirements. By improving fire safety infrastructure and providing clear, compliant information for residents, the project will reduce risk, support safer living environments and extend the lifespan of critical building assets.
