Neil Watts’ Fundraising Efforts to support St Mungo’s Charity

Axis CLC’s Managing Director, Neil Watts, recently completed a 150km row across the Netherlands in support of St Mungo’s, a charity committed to helping people experiencing homelessness. Alongside 4 other rowers and a cox, Neil spent more than 40 hours on the water, helping to raise an incredible £3542.50 for the cause.

The fundraising challenge wasn’t without its obstacles. On Day 1, the team faced a setback when a wheel bearing exploded, and Day 3 brought strong head winds to contend with. Despite this Neil and his team persevered, taking time to appreciate the warm welcome from local people and the stunning scenery along the way.

The funds raised will help St Mungo’s continue its essential work, providing emergency accommodation and pathways out of homelessness. St Mungo’s supports approximately 3150 people every night, helping them take important steps towards rebuilding their lives.

Axis CLC is incredibly proud of Neil and his team for their outstanding fundraising efforts and their commitment to supporting St Mungo’s.

Completing the circuit by rowing demanded determination, resilience and many hours of hard physical effort. Every kilometre rowed is in support of people facing challenges far greater than anything I’ll encounter on the water.
