Supporting Local Residents Seeking Employment At A Department for Work and Pensions Job Fair in Brentwood

On the 7th October, four Axis CLC volunteers supported over 200 local job seekers at a Department for Work and Pensions job fair, hosted by Brentwood Borough Council.

Two members from the Brentwood operational team attended and used it as an opportunity to share information about live vacancies in the local area.

Throughout the day, our volunteers:

  • Shared their industry expertise
  • Explained the range of roles available at Axis CLC and provided practical application advice
  • Highlighted skills shortages within the sector
  • Answered questions about our services

Through these useful conversations, they helped attendees build confidence and encouraged them to consider a career pathway within our business.

Events like these strengthen our connections with communities and help us better understand local needs and social value opportunities. Thank you to our volunteers for giving up their time and to Brentwood Borough Council for hosting a successful event.

Brentwood Borough Council were delighted to welcome Axis CLC to the Brentwood Jobs, Skills & Volunteering Event, which brought together 58 exhibitors and welcomed over 200 visitors. Their involvement helped us showcase the range of opportunities and support available to local people.
