Concept Site Manager Wins KBR Aspire Contractor Recognition Award for Safety First
Concept Site Manager Oliver Burnett has won a Contractor Recognition Award for KBR’s Safety First Value. He received the award at the KBR Aspire ADSL Contractors Conference on Friday 16 October 2026.
The conference is a yearly event. It brings Aspire and its key supply chain partners together to reflect on performance, share learning and reinforce a shared commitment to safe, compliant and high-quality services across the estate. The day closed with the Contractor Recognition Awards, which recognise nominated partners for their achievements and contributions.
Recognised by the client team
Xanthe Dunford, Project Manager, nominated Ollie for his work on a defence estate refurbishment project. This is Ollie’s first project for KBR Aspire, and he has embraced the role of site manager on Aspire sites.
In her nomination, Xanthe highlighted how Ollie took on Aspire’s processes and standards from the outset. He set up the site in line with Aspire’s QHSE requirements and kept safety at the centre of his decisions throughout the works. He also identified risks early and raised them before work went ahead.
Leadership on site
The nomination also recognised Ollie’s approach to leading the team. He brings a positive, professional attitude to site and leads by example. The workforce follows site rules and standards under his lead, which has built a strong culture of teamwork, compliance and mutual respect.
Why it matters
Defence estates need partners who can meet strict safety and compliance standards in secure, live environments. Recognition from the client team shows Ollie’s work on site, and the standards Concept brings to every project on the estate.
We are proud of Ollie and thank Xanthe and the KBR Aspire team for the nomination and the award.
