Concept Team Restores Community Stage on Ascension Island
While working on Ascension Island, our team has looked for ways to give something back to the local community. When the manager of the Saints Members Club asked for help, we were glad to step in.
The club’s stage had fallen into disrepair. A termite infestation had damaged the structure, and it was no longer safe to use.
The works
10 of our operatives on the island gave their personal time in the evenings to support the project. Between them, they gave around 60 hours. The works covered the removal of the damaged stage and its replacement with a new, safe structure.
Other firms working on the island also offered their support, including NJR Interiors. Their involvement showed how the island’s working community came together around a shared goal.
Why it matters
The Saints Members Club is an important facility for local residents. With a safe stage back in place, the community can use the space again.
Social value is part of how we work. On remote sites like Ascension Island, the communities we work alongside matter to us. This project gave our team a practical way to show it.
