Following an independent Fire Risk Assessment survey and tender process, Fieldway was appointed to replace 35 doors with FD30 fire door sets and undertake compartmentation remedial works within accommodation at Pinderfields General Hospital for Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
The project involved several technical challenges, including uneven floors, fanlights above existing doors and walls extending beyond architraves. Fieldway worked closely with the client to agree practical solutions, including floor levelling compound and carefully planned frame removal. The four-week programme was supported by regular progress meetings and inspections to maintain delivery within the operational hospital environment.
